Skydrops was founded by Nigel Rajaratnam  in 2014 as a mumbai based studio and musical collective with the aim to provide international quality music production, composition and consultancy services  to the Film, Broadcast and Advertising industry in India.

After returning from a US govt sponsored cultural program at Northeastern university in 2008, Nigel Rajaratnam immediately got to working on music for tv, commercials and films like Raaz 2, Jay Veeru, Gangs of Wasseypur and a lot of television work with veteran music directors around 2009-2010.

Being a multi instrumentalist he also performed on Coke Studio with Karsh Kale, MTV Unplugged with Sonu Nigam, Lakme Fashion week, and several local and international music festivals like Ragasthan, NH7, Desert storm, The Berlin International Comedy festival and Impro Amsterdam.

                                   In recent years he has worked as a musician/producer on films like Gully Boy, Hichki, Kesari, Baar Baar Dekho, Khoobsurat, Maska, Son of Abish, Sketchy behaviour, Yoyo Honey Singhs Rawstar and  TVCs for brands like, Paytm, Coke, Alpenliebe, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Snapdeal, Tuni Textiles, Fevistick  and more...
